Client Menu

The same builder as your team's Menu, scoped entirely to the navigation your clients see.

What is this?

Client Menu uses the identical Menu Builder interface described in Menu, but every Segment, Menu item, and Sub item here belongs to your client portal's navigation instead of your team's internal sidebar. A sample tenant's Client Menu typically includes segments like “Help and Support” (Tickets, Open Ticket) and “Payments” (Subscription, Card, Orders, Invoices, Transactions), each pointing to your client-portal domain.

Why use it?

Use it to control exactly what your clients can navigate to inside the client portal — for example, adding a new support link or reorganizing the Payments section.

Before you start

  • Required role: Owner or Admin.
  • Warning: the same “hiding is not security” and “only use trusted links” warnings from Menu apply here too. Never point a client-menu item at an internal admin route — a client following that link could reach a page meant only for your team if the underlying permission isn't also locked down on your side.

How to open it

Settings › Menus › Client Menu

How to use it

Follow the same steps as Menu › How to use it — Add Item, drag to reorder, edit/delete via the pencil/trash icons, Save Draft, Make Live, and History/Restore all work identically here, applied to the Client Menu Structure instead.

Common problems

A client says they can't see a link I just added

Problem: A newly added client-menu item isn't visible to a client.

Why it happens: The change is still in Draft, or the client's role doesn't have permission to the underlying module.

How to fix: Confirm you clicked Make Live, and check the client's role on Client Roles & Permissions.

FAQs

Can I reuse an internal Menu item in the Client Menu?
They're managed as separate structures; you'd need to recreate the item here rather than copy it across.
Does removing a Client Menu item log clients out or block their access?
No — exactly as with the internal Menu, removing a menu item only changes what's visible in navigation, not what a client's role permits them to access.
