Bulk Task Creation
Add several tasks at once instead of creating them one by one.
What is Bulk Task Creation?
Bulk Task Creation is a grid for adding many tasks at once instead of creating them one at a time. It opens with 10 blank rows and you can add more as needed.
Why use Bulk Create?
It's much faster for sprint planning or setting up a batch of similar tasks — especially when several tasks share the same Assignee, Project or Module.
When would I use this screen?
- Setting up a batch of tasks at the start of a sprint
- Importing a list of tasks from a file or document
- Quickly assigning several tasks to the same person and project
Before you start
Open it from My Tasks → Bulk Create. Every row still needs Task Name, Assignee, Duration, Project and Module filled in — the grid doesn't relax any of the normal requirements.
How to create tasks in bulk
- Open Bulk Create
From My Tasks, click Bulk Create.
- Fill in each row
Enter a Task Name for each row, and set Assignee, Duration, Project, Module and Priority.
- Use the fill-down shortcut
Setting the Assignee, Project, or Module on the first row automatically fills that same value down into every other row in the grid — a fast way to fill many rows that all share the same values. Change a row individually afterward if it needs something different.
- Remove rows you don't need
Use the trash icon on a row to delete it, or + Add 5 More Rows if you need more than what's shown.
- Click Create Tasks
This submits every filled row at once. A progress modal shows while your tasks are being scheduled — keep the page open until it finishes.
Importing tasks
Use Import File or Import from Docs at the top of the grid to bring in tasks from a spreadsheet or document instead of typing them by hand, or Download Template to get a blank file in the expected format.
Saving a draft
If you're not ready to submit, use Save Draft to keep your progress, or Clear Draft to start over.
