Projects

The top-level register of everything your team is working on.

What is the Projects screen?

Projects is the top-level register of every piece of work your team is running through ETA. Each Project holds its own Modules, Tasks and (optionally) a Release pipeline, and tracks its own status, start date and completion progress.

Why use Projects?

Projects give you a single place to answer “what are we working on, and how far along is it?” without digging through individual tasks. Everything else in ETA — Modules, Tasks, Releases — hangs off a Project.

When would I use this screen?

  • Starting a brand-new piece of work
  • Checking how many projects are in progress vs. completed
  • Finding a project so you can add a Module or a Release to it
  • Searching for a project by name

Before you start

You need access to the Projects screen under ETA in the sidebar. Creating a project only requires a Project Name and a Target Date — everything else can be filled in later.

Reading the stats

StatMeaning
Total ProjectsEvery project on record for your organization.
CompletedProjects marked Completed.
In ProgressProjects currently marked In Progress.
PendingProjects marked Pending — created but not yet started.
Avg. Completion TimeAverage number of days between a project's start date and its completion.
If a stat and the list disagreeThe stat cards always reflect every project in the system. If the table below them shows fewer rows than a stat card implies, add a Status filter (e.g. Completed) to bring the rest into view — see Common problems below.

How to add a new project

  1. Open Projects

Go to ETA → Projects in the sidebar.

  2. Click Add Project

Click + Add Project at the top of the page.

  3. Fill in the details

Enter a Project Name and Target Date at minimum. You can also set Status, Priority, and other fields depending on what your organization has enabled.

  4. Save

Save the project. It will appear on the Projects list and immediately becomes selectable when creating Modules, Tasks and Releases.

The project table

Each row shows the project's ID, Project Name, a small completed/total Module or Task count badge, current Status, Start Date, and row-level Actions (view, quick-edit, or move to trash).

Searching, filtering and sorting

Use the search box to find a project by name (partial matches work, and it's not case-sensitive). Use + Add Filter to filter by Status or Assignee, and click a column header to sort by that column.

Recovering a removed project

Use View Trash at the top of the page to find and restore a project that was moved to trash.

Merging duplicate projects

If two projects were accidentally created for the same piece of work, use Merge at the top of the page to combine them.

Example

Project name
EnOpSy Testing
Status

Modules
4 of 24 tasks completed across its modules
Start date
2026-07-02

Common problems

Problem
I just created a project but I can't find it in the list, in search, or in the stat cards.
How to fix it
This is a known display delay on the Projects list. The project was created successfully — you can confirm this by opening it directly from a Task or Module's Project dropdown, where new projects do appear right away. The list view catching up is being worked on; in the meantime, use the dropdown-based route to reach a brand-new project.
Problem
The project list looks smaller than the stat cards say it should be.
How to fix it
By default the list can leave out Completed projects. Click + Add Filter → Status → Completed to bring them back into view, or clear all filters and check again.
Problem
I can't tell what permission level I have on this screen.
How to fix it
Access to Projects is controlled by your account's permissions, not visible on this page. Check with your organization's AllHeartWeb administrator if a button you expect to see is missing.

FAQs

Can a project have more than one Release?
Yes — a project can have multiple releases over time, each with its own version number and stage pipeline. See Release Panel.
Does deleting a project delete its modules and tasks?
This documentation doesn't confirm the exact cascade behavior — check with your account admin before deleting a project that has active modules or tasks.
What's the difference between Pending and Not Started?
Both indicate a project hasn't begun; your organization may use one or the other depending on how your workflow is configured.
