Source
The bank accounts and cards your money moves through.
What is the Source screen?
A Source represents a bank account, card, or other place money moves through — for example a specific current account or credit card. Every Income and Expense record is tied to a Source.
Why does this matter?
Grouping transactions by Source is what lets InEx show you a real bank balance per account, and it's what the Income/Expense forms use to know which account a payment actually came from or went to.
When would I use this?
- Setting up a new company bank account or card in InEx
- Checking the balance or transaction count of a specific account
- Reviewing which accounts are Active before recording a transaction
Before you start
You need access to the Source screen under Finance → Inex to add or manage sources.
