Pool

The set of SMTP accounts available for projects and campaigns to send through.

What is the Pool screen?

Pool is the register of SMTP sending accounts available to Email Service. It shows how many are set up and how many are currently active, so you can see at a glance whether you have sending capacity available before running a campaign.

Why track a pool of SMTP accounts?

Sending volume is spread across more than one SMTP account so no single account gets overloaded or flagged. Pool gives you one place to see all of them and their status, instead of checking each provider separately.

When would I use this screen?

  • Checking how many SMTP accounts are currently active before a large send
  • Adding a new SMTP account to increase sending capacity
  • Confirming which accounts a project or campaign can draw on

Before you start

Adding an account to the pool needs SMTP credentials for that account — see Pool SMTP for how those are configured.

Reading the stats

The Pool screen shows a stat card for Active SMTPs — the number of sending accounts currently available to use.

Common problems

Problem
A campaign fails to send or sends slowly.
How to fix it
Check the Pool screen's Active SMTPs count — if it's lower than expected, one or more accounts may need attention. See Pool SMTP.

FAQs

How does EnOpSy choose which pool account sends a given email?
This documentation doesn't confirm the selection logic — check with your account admin if you need certainty for capacity planning.
What happens if an SMTP account in the pool goes over its provider's sending limit?
Not confirmed in this documentation. Keep an eye on a campaign's Errors & Warnings for signs of this — see Campaign.
