Templates
Design, list and manage the HTML emails that live inside a project.
What is the Templates screen?
Templates is where the individual emails inside a project are built and managed. It has three parts: a Dashboard with summary stats for the project's templates, a Template List showing every template as a row you can act on, and a Template Editor for building or changing a template's content.
Why templates?
Templates are the actual email content a campaign sends. Keeping them inside their project, alongside its SMTP setup, means everything a campaign needs — content and sending identity — is in one place.
When would I use this screen?
- Building a new email design for a project
- Checking how many templates a project has, and their status
- Editing an existing template's content
- Reviewing a template before it's used in a campaign
Before you start
A template belongs to a project, so open the project first — see Projects. If your template needs personalized content (a recipient's name, a link, and so on), it's worth reviewing Variables first.
Reading the Dashboard
The Templates Dashboard shows summary stat cards for the project you're in, giving an at-a-glance count of templates and their state before you drop into the full list.
Exact stat labels vary by project and by what templates it currently has.
How to create a new template
- Open a project
From Projects, open the workspace you want to add a template to.
- Go to the Template List
This shows every template already in the project.
- Start a new template
Use the create action on the Template List to open the Template Editor.
- Build the content
Design the email in the editor. Use Variables where you want content to be personalized per recipient.
- Save
Save the template so it appears in the Template List and becomes available to a campaign.
The Template List
Each row represents one template in the project, with an Actions menu for options such as viewing or editing the template.
