Leave Requests
Review, approve or reject leave requests, and spot unusual leave patterns.
What is Leave Request Handling?
This screen lists every leave request submitted by your team for the selected month, with its status, and lets you approve or reject each one. Below the main list is a separate report called Leave Abuse Tracking that flags unusual leave patterns.
Why review leave requests here?
Having every request in one place, with clear Pending/Approved/Rejected counts, makes it easy to keep on top of who's off and when, without chasing emails or messages.
When would I use this screen?
- Approving or rejecting a leave request that's waiting on you
- Checking how many days a specific request covers
- Reviewing the Leave Abuse Tracking report for patterns worth a conversation
Before you start
You need access to the Leaves screen to approve, reject or edit requests. Anyone can typically view the stats, but changing a request's status is usually limited to admins/HR/managers.
Reading the stats
| Stat | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Total Leaves | All leave requests recorded for the selected month. |
| Approved | Requests you've approved. |
| Pending | Requests still waiting for a decision. |
| Rejected | Requests you've turned down. |
The table below lists each request's Name, Email, Leave Type (for example Personal Leave or Other), Day Type (Full Day or Half Day), From/To dates, number of Days, Status, and when it was Applied On.
How to approve or reject a leave request
- Open Leaves
Go to Manpower → Teams → Leaves. Use the month selector to move to the month you need.
- Open the request
Click the ⋮ actions icon on the request's row and choose Edit. This opens the “Edit leave request” window.
- Review the details
The window shows the employee, their Employee ID, leave duration, Leave type, Day type, From/To dates (read-only) and their stated Reason.
- Set the Approval status
Use the Approval status dropdown to change it from Pending to Approved or Rejected.
- Add an admin note (optional)
You can leave a short note in Admin note — this is visible to the employee, so use it for anything you want them to see (for example, a reason for rejecting the request).
- Save your decision
Click Save changes to confirm, or Cancel to close without changing anything.
How to remove a request
Choose Move to Trash from the same actions menu to remove a request from the main list. Use View Trash at the top of the page to see requests that have been removed.
How Leave Abuse Tracking works
This report, shown below the main leave list, highlights employees whose leave pattern looks unusual for the month — for example repeated leaves around weekends, or a high number of half-day leaves. It lists the employee, Leaves Around Weekends, Half-Day Leaves, and the specific Abuse Types detected, such as “Repeated Monday Leaves” or “Repeated Weekend-Adjacent Leaves.”
